Anti-contamination draws keen attention of the international community

 

A special G20 summit was held last night to discuss international cooperation measures to overcome the new coronavirus infection. The meeting, which linked G20 leaders to images, discussed cooperation in dealing with infectious diseases and strategies to overcome the economic crisis. The global Pandemic of infectious diseases such as Korona19 was a meaningful summit in that it was not possible to resolve without international cooperation because it does not cover borders, races or religions.

At the summit, South Korea's case of quarantine drew keen attention from leaders of other countries. South Korea, which suffered the first round of the Korona19 bankruptcy, is receiving reviews from overseas that it is relatively stable in preventing the spread of the infection thanks to its super-speed mass diagnosis and quarantine, exemplary medical system and mature citizenship. It deserves to be a good example of reference for the U.S. and Europe, which are now in the midst of the second round of the Korona19 debacle. This is because it can be used as an opportunity to regain Korea's diplomatic status. To do so, the government should take the lead in international cooperation by sharing its quarantine experience and actively supporting diagnostic kits.

The U.S., where the number of infected people is increasing by 10,000 a day, Japan, which postponed it for a year until the Summer Olympics, and Europe, which is facing the limitations of the medical system, should first offer warm hands. When China, Japan and others restrict Korean entry to the U.S., they need to be patient until the end, and consider the U.S. diplomacy in which Korea and the U.S. signed 60 billion dollars in currency swaps. A friend who helps in times of need is a real friend. It is a wise diplomacy that promotes national interests and a way to enhance national prestige.
